S.C. Governor Mark Sanford held a meeting Tuesday where he continued to push for the Legislature to return early to devise a new solution to the state's budget crisis.
In August a state oversight board ordered a 3% cut across the board to all state agencies. Such a cut is suspected to be devastating to some agencies like the S.C. Department of Corrections, and Governor Sanford has been calling for Legislature to return early.
The Legislature has shown resistance to the idea, and Sanford is asking the public to pressure their representatives into an early return.
